Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for designing and developing trend right, elevated product for the Tumi customer from concept to commercialization.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to reviewing all designs with designers, assisting in design presentation, creating technical drawings, as well as maintaining technical design from start to production for new collections as well existing collections.  This position will also be responsible for maintaining specification changes, updating technical drawings as well as reviewing confirmation samples with product development and design.

 

Responsibilities include, but limited to:

 

  • Research market
  • Create concept boards
  • Sketch and cad ideas:  
  • Create specs and maintain technical design
  • Present
  • Communicate with all cross functional partners
  • Follow product through commercialization process, maintaining and communicating and changes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of technical/engineering experience with handbags, small leather goods, and/or products. Bachelor’s Degree in fashion, engineering, industrial design or equivalent related experience is required. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must along with strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task.  Also,

Strong and expedient Illustrator and Photoshop skills to communicate concepts and create specs are required.
