The Product Developer will assist in the execution of all product development, updating and issuing detailed material specifications, reviewing samples and their components (leather and fabrications with designers and managing all samples. Organize leather, hardware and fabric archives. Assist design team with preparing bag specifications for factories; help prepare for management meetings with sampling, set up and documents.

  • Support team in all aspects of Product Development.
  • Prepare for sampling: process DCs, manage materials, maintain updates and track samples.
  • Participates in daily email communication with Asia partners (ensures all pertinent information is provided on a timely basis (i.e. material and/or product changes/direction, design card, materials, color standards, etc.).
  • Create and maintain material combo sheets and line sheets consistently throughout development cycle.
  • Create and maintain product binders.
  • Keep manager abreast of development status and engage partners when needed.
  • Maintain photo library of new samples to create a live line sheet document.
  • Attend and assist in preparation of sample review meeting for assigned categories.
  • Coordinate the sending of packages overseas for Product Development & Design.
  • Help to manage sample development from initial to final approval.
  • Issue product approvals upon design sign-off ensuring all design specs (materials and measurements) are met.
  • Maintain sample room closets and archiving process (including New Jersey Archives).
  • Participate in utility reviews per style/per collection.
  • Issue minor technical notes and corrections as needed.
  • Update Tumiexpress with Development updates (i.e. line sheets, product knowledge).
  • Support PD/Design in execution of special projects (i.e. exclusives, collaborations, etc).


  • Bachelor's Degree
