Founded in France in 2005 by Francois Lipovetsky, Lipault’s products are designed to meet the needs of savvy travelers, featuring ulta-lightweight, smart designs, chic and vibrant colors and contstructed using luxurious but durable nylon twill fabric.  Samsonite acquired Lipault in 2014, seeing that it would complement the Samsonite portfolio of brands and grow the portfolio’s reach among frequent female travelers through its chic and youthful attitude.  The vision for Lipault is to grow into the leading bag and luggage brand for women.


With this vision in mind and the growth strategy to get there in the US, the strategic decision was made to move the stewardship, leadership and daily operations of the Lipault Brand, in the US market, to our Tumi US team in New York.  Given Lipault’s Parisian heritage, It is our belief that creating a direct link between two fashion capitals, Paris and New York, will be a critical move to propel the brand to the next level.


We are looking for a dynamic Account Executive to grow and manage existing business relationships with key wholesale partners.


Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor product assortments, sales and inventory positions of all accounts, to ensure optimum sell-through as well as sell-in
  • Conduct seasonal markets with accounts to review business performance, preview new product, and plan next season assortments
  • Maintain active, consistent communication with buying personnel of Lipault wholesale partners on matters pertaining to brand and sales development
  • Meet with senior account management on brand development initiatives
  • Provide field servicing (training, assortment/visual merchandising oversight) and local account management
  • Conduct sales training seminars for sales personnel of all accounts on frequent, timely (to match product launch schedule) and systematic basis
  • Oversee the proper execution of visual merchandising standards (including marketing collateral) at all Lipault points of sale
  • Maintain general market awareness and knowledge of account activities; monitor/communicate competitive conditions and product/design trends



  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years experience in field or related industry, with background in both department and specialty stores
  • A history of strong volume growth
  • Business driver with the ability to understand and implement brand strategy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Retail math skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive follow-up skills
  • Strong work ethic accompanied by a desire to grow with the company
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to travel
