Responsibilities

The Project Manager and Business Analyst (PM BA) will be responsible for the project management of various custom and “off-the-shelf” Retail IT Systems and needed infrastructure to support these systems. This position will require PM BA experience in retail business solutions.  This position will communicate directly and frequently with Sales Audit, Merchandising, CRM, Planning, Retail/Store operations, IT and other internal and external resources as needed. This position will be directly responsible for managing projects and enhancements in various systems including POS, AOM (Sales Audit, LP) Merchandising, CRM, Planning, and EOM (Enterprise Order Management).

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand retail and wholesale business concepts and processes to effectively support the business team with mediating new and existing business and technical challenges
  • Translate business user requirements into system specifications leveraging the existing retail applications
  • Perform day-to-day PM duties and tasks for the assigned projects and new initiatives
  • Manage current and future projects in PM tool following standard PM processes
  • Respond to requests in a positive, timely manner and provide feedback on expected completion dates
  • Good Knowledge on PM and Change Management Processes and Policies
  • Good knowledge of all aspects of SDLC; perform hands-on analysis and design, testing/QA (if needed), and post go-live support (hyper-care).
  • Responsible for developing and managing the relationship with all software vendors integrated with Tumi retail systems
  • Coordinates and oversees projects from inception through post go-live support
  • Coordinate all legal document processing and execution between external partners and internal business areas
  • Manage and track all budgets, resources, resource time sheets, legal documents, project artifacts for all project phases, etc.
  • Manage portfolio of various projects in parallel

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications of the position:

  • 10+ years of PM BA experience in supporting retail business systems such as POS, Merchandising, CRM, Planning, EOM/OMS, etc.
  • Similar experience with APTOS/EPICOR retail solutions like POS, Sales Audit, Merchandising, EOM/OMS will be HUGE plus!!
  • Experience in PM BOK, ITIL processes/guidelines
  • Proven experience performing business and systems analysis in a variety of application environments
  • Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment, and production support

 

Skills and Behaviors:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, appropriate for a broad range including business stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, offshore providers, and technical developers
  • Must demonstrate accountability, sound decision making, detailed analytical capabilities, and clear and concise communications
  • Must be able to multi-task on various initiatives
  • Ability to work towards multiple deadlines with shifting priorities; should have “sense of urgency” to meet business expectations
